The article investigates the process of digital transformation in higher education and itsimpact on the contemporary education system. It is established that the application of digitaltechnologies in education contributes to changing the relationships between participants insocio!economic processes and shaping a modern economic paradigm. The overall challengeof digital transformation in higher education lies in ensuring not only the adaptation of educational institutions to new digital realities but also preserving and improving theireffectiveness in the context of these changes. The necessity of acquiring new competenciesdue to digital transformation is identified, leading to a qualitative restructuring of the educationsystem. Currently, the digital transformation of higher education encompasses severalinterrelated elements: the level of digital literacy of participants in the educational process,technological support for the educational process, psychological adaptation, and themethodology of educational and scientific work. The main component of the digitaltransformation of higher education is identified as the technological support of the educationalprocess. In the context of blended learning, associated with the situation in Ukraine due to thewar, computer equipment and mobile programs are valuable assets, enabling a continuous cycleof professional and educational activities. The article discusses hybrid forms of learning thatcombine both distance and face!to!face education, indicating changes in societal and individualawareness. The advantages of distance learning include synchronous and asynchronouslearning types, applicability to distance education formats, and continuous learning. Digitalpedagogy is highlighted as a key component of digital transformation in higher education. Thepositive impact of digital tools on the educational process, human capital development, andthe creation of new educational products is emphasized. The role of online learning during thewar in Ukraine is examined, along with its prospects in the new reality. The article emphasizesthe need for the development of digital literacy and digital culture among educators, students,and professionals as a prerequisite for the innovative development of society. Prospects forcombining traditional and digital teaching methods for the effective acquisition of contemporaryknowledge and competencies in the digital era are also highlighted
